my car has metalic paint

recently, my car bashed into another car

now, i need a paint job.

being a stingy poker like I am, is it possible just to spray the affected
part? maybe just a few square inches. if i get just the affected part
sprayed, can the difference be noticed?

I hear it's necessary to spray the entire car, is that true?

The smallest panel you can spray alone is the fuel lid panel.

For example,Let say you banged one of your doors, you need not to spray
the
entire car! Just enough to spray for just one door. However, on certain
case, some doors may have been divided by a door-guard-strip, you probably
can
just paint half the door upper or lower of the d-g-strip! Similarly to
bumper, no need to spray other panels such as boot lid or bonnet if just
the bumper spoiled by the accident..

Anyway, the painter knows what best for you and your car! Just ask their
opinion!
