Nowadays really difficult to find good & honest tireshop.. got cheap price but lousy service.. cheap price but got charge service tax.. cheap price but old stock tires.. moderate price, good service but need to pay for new valves (without asking customer).. cheap price, good service but low trade in value.. how to select?
now my fav alignment sifu also becomes a bit lazy
But if using rubber valve it is good practice to change with every tyre change, unless you finish your tyres yearly or in two yeras. If not, better off just changing the rubber valves....

[Good thing no cheap, cheap thing no good] this theory can't be applied on alignment service, sometime expensive one could be con and disappointing....obviously, many tyre foreman in the market are of half water tank, Our government should look into this matter seriouly, I propose them to set up a body to control the quality of tyre foreman, just like SIRIM........

Yup, in a way should ask or inform, but in some shop I see that it is the norm. Probably the boss may have inform the employees to do so, just in case of any problem later on.
I have seen problems of leaking rubber valves, and some the valves even broke off....
