Hi all! Nice to meet all of you here. I am new to this forum.
I am planning to buy a used Hyundai Matrix 1.6L Manual, 2004 model.
Mileage is already 240,000km. The unit is from Johor but I'm buying it from a seller here in Melaka.
I checked the engine and I see no leaks or strange sounds; actually, it still purrs like a cat. (i think)
I test drove it and I fell in love with how comfortable it is to drive it.
My question is if its still worth buying it at the mileage?
At 240,000 km, what are the problems that might be lurking under it?
What needs to be replaced?
Are the parts easy to purchase here in Malaysia, particularly in Melaka?
Any help on this matter would be greatly apprecaited.
And, oh by the way, I'm also considering a used Proton Saga BLM 1.3L Manual 2010 model. Mileage is only 60,000km.
It's my second choice in case I get negative feedback on the Matrix

From Johor? Can it be affected by serious flood before?

I'm not so sure. but when I checked, I didn't see any signs of water damage
