the problem wont happe if i am cruising.the relay is ok as it turn the fan on,no problem with ecu as it send signal to the compressor and raises the rpm.
one shop said its the clutch and quote at least rm350 for the repair.
any other suggestion?
my aircond is super cool when running.

it do make sense.
what i dont understand is that it will kick in if i rev it to 4200rpm.
shoul i just replace the clutch or do an overhaul?

Overhaul the compressor? If nothing else is wrong just repair the fault and that is to replace the clutch. But once opened up need to re-oil and recharge the gas.

usually, it is due to the gap between the clutch and magnetic coil is slight too big. if you are lucky, just unbolt the clutch and remove some washer.
if not, will be the coil. why revving to 4200rpm will engage it because the voltage will be higher at that rpm.
what i dont understand is that it will kick in if i rev it to 4200rpm.
