Ha ha, our dear Proton designer may not understand the real keyless start function. They have the auto stop button but we need to put in the car key first...................or can we push the button without lot in the key?.................very funny..........................

Very funny. Where did proton said it was a keyless start function? Go back to the official brochure and understand the mechanics of the push start button.
FYI, previous BMW models also have to slot in the fob. It is NOT a keyless feature. It is a push start button with a failsafe system.

Oh, what I mean is the design.............Of course, we need failsafe system. We still need key in the case of button failure (specially Proton). Since we have this so high tech push start button, the fob hole has to put in the "hidden" place since we do not need it (unless this car has reliability issue of this button). Just like the Prius, we can see the push start button only.
Of course, it is nothing wrong to put side by side. It's just my personnel opinion.

Volvo and Volkswagen also uses the same system where u have to slot in the key first.. What's the problem here?
