Duragloss Ad And Dangerous Flickering

Be aware that the fast flickering of the Duragloss banner advertisment at the
top of this forum is dangerous and can induce photosensitive epilepsy, even
if the flickering is just for a few seconds.



This famous TV Pokemon episode in Japan in landed hundreds of kids
in hospital with seizures in 1997.


Most local young and inexperienced IT people are not aware of Guideline 2.3
of the WCAG 2.0 and Section 508, Chapter 1194.22 (j) of the US Rehabilitation Act.

Guideline 2.3
Seizures: Do not design content in a way that is known to cause seizures.

'' 2.3.1 Three Flashes or Below Threshold: Web pages do not contain anything
that flashes more than three times in any one second period, or the flash is below
the general flash and red flash thresholds.

Screen flicker.

Sect 508, 1194.22(j) :

'' Pages shall be designed to avoid causing the screen to flicker with
a frequency greater than 2 Hz and lower than 55 Hz.

'' Flickering at the wrong rate may cause seizures, but it also
irritates virtually all users, no matter what the frequency
