Hi guys,

I'm looking for your point of views on Chevrolet in M'sia.

What's wrong with the cars? What's good about it?

Why isn't there enough Chevy's on the road?
Why isn't Malaysians keen on a Chevy?

Speaking about the brand in general.

I've seen the Cruze though, looks pretty damn good.

One of my cars is a Chevy Aveo, so I am speaking from my own experience with the car and the distributor...be careful of those who claims to know a lot but never owned a Chevy..

The Aveo, and Chevrolets in general, are good and generally pretty tough cars, provided it's serviced properly and with taken care of. Therefore, you could still see a lot of the older models on the street, even after they had stopped selling for years. The biggest let down for the older cars, in my opinion, are it's plastic quality. But it's no big deal as long as mechanically it's fine.

The newer cars like Cruze, Sonic etc has fantastic designs which I really like. Currently I am looking to replace my Aveo with a Sonic.

The biggest problem if you are thinking of owning a Chevy is not the cars, but the services given by Naza are really bad. Had bad experiences previously when my Aveo is still under warranty, and now my Pug is also having the same problems with bad service. This had contributed to the low resale value of Chevys. It does make for a very compelling used buy though.

P.S. the title of your topic is inappropriate...it's as if you are complaining about how bad Chevrolets are, and not asking about the brand in general.

Alphawolf is 101% right!!! Bloody Good Cars! But the Service and parts back up from the distributors is a nightmare if you buy new cars and under their warranty, but anyway if used and you got the "jalan" it is avalilable from many outsource parts shops, BUT if new cars under warranty - then you will face and have to listen to their the music!!! If you are having hypertension and own only 1 car to use - you will surely die standing fast, must have spare cars!!!!
From my own personal experience of owning 2 chevy captivas diesel, I should say it is one of the best cheapest affordable SUV and cheapest to run as it runs on diesel in town!!! Pug also die standing under the same distributorship, luckily I swift to 3 new VWs, much much more to pay in prices - for exchanged for their real sincere service and not sell and forget you style of business like pug cars. Just my 2 cts.
