I am planning to buy a used card (2010 or 2011) and my two preferred cars are Kia Forte SX 1.6 and Honda City. Any ideas on which car I should go for?
I plan to test drive both cars to have a make a better decision, but would appreciate your inputs here. By the way, what is the difference between Naza Forte and Kia Forte in terms of quality?
Thanks a lot!

My personal opinion,
1. Fortie <- They give everything for high end version but resale value is bad. I ever drive a new fortie and this car is quite heavy. In some forum many change original 17" rim to lighter 16" rim to reduce fuel consumption and noice.
City with less ass comparing with fortie but good resale value
2. KIA and Naza Forte are the same.

The tyres too. 215/45R17 to 205/55R16 for more comfort......

Thanks. I had a test drive for Honda City and personally liked the handling and smoothness of the drive a lot more than Kia Forte. I guess I will go for Honda City as it seems to better meet my expectations. Thanks for your tips and suggestions.

Honda City is way overpriced and has many quality issues for a Jap brand car. Resale value is as bad as any other car out there, don't be fooled by the myths. If a dealer is charging you a high price for a used one, just means he is making a big profit at your expense....try selling private at a high "residual value" and see how far you get. Forte is not much better, local assembled one uses local wiring loom,= disaster!!!
Better you look for fully imported (CBU) from Jap or EU, the cars assembled locally or in the region are really terrible by comparison.

Would u be kind enough to suggest any car with City/Forte price range which is CBU not from this region ??
Or maybe Bengkel Kereta AYap venture into CBU car business ?
Can get GTR at 80k ah ?

Kia Forte -
Pros - looks like a larger car, rear passenger feels spacious, nice sound system. Quiet and well insulated engine noise, road noise is well insulated (provided tire is new) for the front passenger.
Cons - heavy car, ride quality for rear passenger quite stiff, does not absorb bumps well. Tire drone noise quite audible and abit irritating for rear passengers (17 inch wheels). Alittle under-powered for the 1.6 litre.
Honda City -
Pros - Engine noise is about as quiet as Kia. Slightly more road noise than Kia (but still not too bad). Personally I find the seats quite comfortable
Cons - Poor rear passenger ride quality, very "springy" ride. When there is long unevenness or bump, when you are at the rear, you felt more upwards movements. Even on the highway or freeway, the rear passenger ride quality feels unsettled, very busy floating you around when road unnevenness is very slight.
Toyota Vios J -
Pros - Best ride comfort of the three here by quite a margin.
Cons - Other than ride quality, almost everything else is a negative. It is cheapest and feels the cheapest as well.
- Very uncomfortable rear seats, the cushion padding on your backside is so thin, you can feel it.
- Excessive engine noise
- Excessive road noise.
Nissan Grand Livina
Pros - Very quiet ride (the best in its class I feel). I am especially impressed with its road noise suppression when going over rough and coarse road surface.
Quite a decent ride quality, even for rear passengers. It handles rough road ridges quite hardly, but it has got very good composure on "long road undulations".
Engine noise is decently suppressed, but I felt Kia's engine noise is slightly quieter.
Cons - Weird looking shape (not to my taste).
So for me, at this lower end budget non-local brands, each one of them has its flaws and plus. None is perfect.
