Bought a new 2013 model Stavic 3 days ago, parked at garage horn keeps going off every 5 minutes, just annoying especially given the weekend, no one to contact. No sleep at all. Checked car doors and every aspects no trace of any faults from the indicators, don't know why this happens. Just annoying even for neighbours.
I regret for buying it now..

more power, more service centre. 2nd value probably even better than stavic.
pricing abit higher tho... but at least your alarm wont simply go off like stavic...

Well sometimes 35k extra is a lot of money for some people.but anytime this stavic is a bargain buy compare to let say innova.
I'm interested to get this too as family weekend ride.will be hoping for some feedback from owners...

you regretted buying a car just because the alarms go off? Then you'll regret buying all cars coz all cars comes with its own problems. Better use a bus then.
Just bring back to dealer for them to sort it out lah, that's what warranty is for.

On the positive, the nvh is fantastic. Engine is smooth and quite. Interior is spacious. Is a Diesal engine. New body shape that is pleasing on the eyes. Good equipment levels, reverse camera, monitor for rear passengers.

Well, have to wait for some feedback on the fc. As is still pretty new otr.but let is high, still this stavic is 30-35k cheaper compare to hyundai starex.which the saving can be use to pump diesel and also maintainance cost. This new stavic looks high but is actually not very high.is pretty easy to get in the front seat.
I'll be waiting for more feedback before i decide on getting this :-) since is already end of the year :-)

I'm not here to pour cold water but both Ssangyong cars that my company happened to own all gave major problems.
1) Rexton 2.9L - Car suddenly caught fire at the engine bay while driving to Klang via Federal Highway. Whole engine totally burned, even dashboard melted. Total write off by insurance company. Damn scary ok!!
2) Stavic 2.7L - Need to replace whole engine after driving for 4 years only. Mainly up and down KL to JB. In the end, felt not worth to repair, sold cheaply to second handed car dealer.
Both are diesel engine, well maintained and service every 5000km. And both cars were bought more than RM100k.
Even when Stavic price dropped to RM99k, my wife die die don't wanna even consider. Can't blame her as she saw how the Rexton caught fire....she was inside the car. Luckily no one was injured.
Just to share my experience with Ssangyong.

from the back it looks fine.dont have the old bulky feel anymore. but like narrow top...would it compromise on headroom?
btw still waiting for morefeedback from owners :-)
