Hi all. I drive a 2006 Myvi 1.3 auto and during the warranty period had all the while been using perodua eo.

Decided to use a better but economical eo after and that was penzzoil platinum semi syn 5w-30 which I have been using since til the last OCI.

By chance I had a drive on my collegues myvi same year but found that this engine is so much quieter and smoother and it was on bardhal xtc. After reading here all about this bardhal and since our taikor vr is also using decided to try it out too.

That was yesterday and I must say this oil is damn impressive. So much quieter and smoother. One up for bardhal.

Even Bardhal's mineral oil 10W-30 will have your Myvi running a lot smoother and quieter than perodua's semi-synthetic.

Oh, didn't know that and thanks for the info. Surprising that while I was on penzzoil platinum 5w-30 semi syn, the engine is loud and rough. Btw heard from my supplier for penzzoil there will be a price hike.

Anyway, have checked on cycars site and the xtc is not listed but there is mtc. Is the mtc a newer version and the xtc is no longer in production?

Bardahl is cheap and yet has on par quality with other premium oil.
Problem is if u have a worn out engine as their oil is really2 thin compared to others with same grade.

Come to think about that it might be i was on that oil that i achieve fc of 16km/l and yes it surprised me too at that time.
I wasnt driving like i was going to pasar malam
It was long time ago,now best i can achieve is 14km/l.
All that on a 1.8l engine that can top 190kmh and cruise at the highway a comfortable speed of 150kmh and cruise at normal road at 90-100kmh.

Both 5w-30 and 5w-40 selling at around RM100. and listed as FS.....
As you should know FS also comes in a few grades, Group 3 to 5. Hydro-cracked, POA and Esther base.....
These are group 3 oil.....
