Did you consider the MT07 before purchasing this FZ6?

I was checking out the MT07 the other day.  Itchy already.

I got the re-cond FZ at 'staff' price so I didn't really consider the newer MT07. But just as much as naked bikes are the flavour of the day, my preference was for a sporty fully faired sports bike. Must admit though the 4 cylinder bike is much heavier than the twins of its class. The ER6 is a much lighter bike and easier for town riding. I think it would be the same for the 2-cylinder MT07 as well meaning better suited for city riding and performing lane splitting.
