Stolen N Striped

Recently my workplace got 3 stolen waja within 1 week period!
1 recovered n it was striped till left engine, chassis with boot, n cushion only!
It is advisable to claim total lost or restore back to running condition?

if the guesstimate price to revive the car exceed 80% sum insured..surely can claim as total lost

Refurbishing the entire car should not be expensive. The engine & gearbox is there. The body/panels are there.
Try negotiate with insurers.
Do remember on betterment rule for cars older than 3 or 5 years.

my personal opinion is to claim total loss..bcos i feel tht if the missing parts are to be replaced by the insurer he is going to use all imitation n used parts only...the fixing will not be as good as factory fitted..then later there will be some krek krek sounds all over n you will hv to go to the workshops often to get it rectified..
