Breadman, no, I`m not looking to buy a car now at all, however good the
deal looks, not in the next 3-5 years anyway! Not until I can save up a
50% dp on my next car and keep the loan tenure to 3-5 years!
What I`m saying is, the 10% won`t tempt the local market as much as Ford
would like to, if they`re looking to shift units, just like Kia or
Proton ... then again, those aren`t working too ... Big Smile
Btw, the Focus should be 2006 batch, March is when those units came in,
right?

Hi Maestro,

They may have some remaining 2005 Escapes, but the Focus is definitely
2006. Smile

The deal is: 4 years repayment at 0% interest on 90% (cannot be lower) of
OTR price. So, for the Focus 2.0L Hatch, the downpayment is RM14K and
loan RM110K. Over 4 years, the monthly installment is RM2291.

At 2.5% pa x 4 years, this translates into a saving (discount) of RM11K.
Hmmm. Smile

Sorry guys, there`s no Focus for me. At least not now.

The 0% and 4 year loan deal as I found out, only applies to `05 model.
Apparently there is an initial batch of 1.8L & 2.0L of the current Focus
imported at end `05. The 1.8L was stuck in Port Kelang due to AP problem.
Although the 2.0L cleared customs earlier, nevertheless it is still `05
manufactured. Because of the delay, this model is only launched in 2006.
The cars on offer are from this batch.

Come 2007 in a few more months, the 2005 Focus is going to be a two year
old car. Not on. Smile

having a civic its like having a flower...which can be found
everywhere....

having a focus its like having a diamond...which cant be found
everywhere...

read this..true friends(reliable in car case) are like diamonds, diamonds
very rare; false friends(unreliable in car case) are like flowers, found
everywhere.

hahahahahaha!!!!!

During the launch of Focus early this year at Danga Bay (JB), I was told
by an arrogant Ford SA that Focus he was expecting long delivery time of
about 3-4 mths as Focus is a good and reasonably priced (??) car. 130k at
that time. So, no discount, 1 sen pun talak. Take it or leave it.

After NAP, 9k down. And now 0% for 1st 4 yrs + 1-2k discount. With the
disclosed declared value from customs, I can work out their margin. I am
waiting with plenty of patience.
