Hi everyone...

I would like to seek opinions from you guys about my gearbox....I drive waja 1.6 AT year 2005...bought 2nd hand last 9 month...I had change the ATF last November using Proton SPIII at tyre & service shop at Klang...still remaining 10k mileage b4 change nx ATF....

The problem is recently I found that my GB have some noise like "nnnggggiiiiiiiiiiinnggggg" when I press fuel pedal during driving, sometime sound like "wwwunnnngggggggg", but if gear at N, no noise come out. The noise appear at speed 50, become louder at 70 to 90...when reach 110, seem less noise maybe due to engine noise is louder than the GB noise. I have seek my mech, he test drive with me & his mech friend, he told me the GB bearing may start to got problem.....my mech said if want repair, need to dismantle & check, mybe cost up to rm2500....he suggest me to maintaine the ATF accordingly...may the GB can last for nx 3 to 4 years...

I have read some topic is here which may related on my GB problem...but need your opinions, is it the bearing problem? Or the ATF is not ori & killing my GB? Or else?

Did u check the atf level?

Best bet is to go to auto tranny expert or back to proton.
