I can't seem to get the grease off my windshield. I apply one of those rain-off liquids sometimes to the windshield and when I was washing the windshield before hand, I had to wash it 3 times before I thought it was clean enough. I was out driving in the rain this evening and the windshield is still a little greasy. Does anyone know how to get rid of a greasy windshield?

Try washing with stronger shampoo solution. If not try vinegar and if still cannot, use glass polish

1) Get Bar Keeper's Friend (BKF) from Ace Hardware (RM11.50). Wash your windscreen with car shampoo, then while still wet, pour a little BKF onto a sponge, and scrub gently you glass. Work up some suds. Then rinse with plenty of water.
2) Get Formahero Glass Compound (not their acidic water stain remover!) from Aeon. Wash your windscreen with shampoo. Rinse and dry. Then use a slightly damp sponge, pour a little Glass Compound onto damp sponge, then rub the glass. Once done, re-wash your windscreen.
3) Go to Dr Cermin (not all branches can do, but the one in Seri Kembangan can) for glass polishing. Have to pay though. Not sure if it RM60-80 for one screen or for all.

yesterday just did some work on my windscreen...
first....washing with dishwasher liquid....
then cleans dry...
next manual (hand) polish the screen using KIT liquid wax (the normal KIT wax bottle type)
apply evenly 3pass of the waxing...
wash again with dishwasher liquid...
rinse and dry....awesome cleanliness...like new windscreen....
tonight going to re-apply a coat of rain-x

For greasy windscreens I think any glass polish will do. Autoglym just came out with a new version of their glass polish which is especially good for greasy windscreens. Check itf out on their youtube channel. But not sure whether its available locally yet.
Currently, am testing out Aikka's windshield coating which costs Rm88 in kit form. Kit consists of treatment, uv coating and repellent, polishing sponge, mf cloth and a backing plate to attach to a drill.
The treatment is water based so is safe . So far am happy with it and will do the rest of the windows in coming weeks. The repellent works well too and beads of water flies off at 60kph. Monitoring the durability, manufacturer says 6 months, will see.
For those interested, check it out on their youtube channel.
Sorry, oot a little. Aikka will be selling another new DA machine priced around Rm650 but the rated power is only 600w. It has a slow start but I much prefer the earlier one they had cause the new one has the plastiky feel.
Regards to all.
