Yours is Mazda bt50 2.2 auto transmission?
Yeap, if I'm going to get 3.2 I will definitely get the wildtrek but 1 year+ waiting period is nuts.
By the way, stop and go traffic especially traffic jam sucks for this truck as the pick up wont be sufficient during low rev, step too much on the throttle and your truck lurch too much forward, sometimes you may experience hollow feeling where your auto gear does not engage during those situation.
I would say the truck is tune to more conservative driving where if you did not put enough throttle in, it feels like an underpowered truck, just nice and the truck will just cruise along after 3rd gear and reach 120km/h easily, don't get me wrong, cause if you are aggressive this truck can really go.

The lurching sounds like the new Mit Triton I tried. So springy when it lurch.
I heard some people commenting Wildtrek 3.2 is more stable and not so springy like Mazda 3.2.

The Ranger feels much more stable than the Triton. I test drove both and the Triton was much too bouncy for me. The Ranger feels much more solid but that might be a disadvantage off road.

It looks like the BT-50 might be a non-runner too. It seems that the service charges are the same as the Ranger and I'm not happy to pay RM2,000 a year, mostly for engine oil.
That leaves the Amarok, if it is launched or the new D-Max.
I called and check with Mazda for bt50 service is every 10k and it cost about 350 and for major every 40k cost 600-700
