I change Rondo rear absorber at RM350 each.
hi there.. the oem shocks are made by sachs- a reputable brand. in fact bmw, mercs, and so many other continental cars use the shocks manufactured by sachs.
ok.. back to your question....ive changed all the shocks for my rondo! the front and the rear. the cost for the whole package is approximately rm 800. can quote you the exact figure as ive lost the receipt. but i guess the front shocks are rm 280 a piece. and guess it is worth it, as the old shocks have endured 4 years and 60000 km of abuse. ngehhhh

Hi, where did you replace all your shock absorbers for approximately RM800 ? And what was the symptoms which made you coming to this decision to replace all 4 ? Thanks ~

Hi,
I am also curious about the symptom that the shocks need to be changed.
This morning while driving, I heard 2 rather loud "kong" sound on my passenger rear side. When I reach my workplace I heard another "kong" sound while parking on a ramp. Is this the indications of the absorber failing? However haven't hear anything afterwards.
Mine is around 2.5years with 62000km of damage.... Seems like Naza shocks are made to last till 60000km...
Thank you.

R U sure it is RM800 for all 4 absober. 1 absorber cost RM280 4 absorber will cost RM1120. Front absorber is more expensive than rear absorber. The rear absorber RM280 is it original. I've change all the absorber Rear is about RM360 and Front is RM 480.

My guess Awestone price RM280 for front absorber is for non-OEM part.
My SC always quote me OEM and non-OEM price so the choice is yours.
Thanks Mahmoody for the info on the front absorber price.
Those still unsure whether your absorber got problem or not bring to SC or any reliable workshop and ask them to check if there is any leakage. Duk Duk sound not necessary got leakage. Last time i ask my SC to check why the left rear got dup dup sound and they claim my absorcer got leakage thus why it was replaced (50K mileage). But after replace the same sound still exist so I know I got conned lah.
Then finally Sugen come out with the solution on replacing the rear absorber mounting bracket which solve the dup dup sound but I havent installed yet. SC confirmed they had order and stock up the part after I give them the parts number quoted by Sugen. Probably will install during my 100K mileage service next month.
Hope this info help fellow rondorian.

I also have that tok tok sound coming from the back, at first I thought it was the absorber mounting. The sound became louder and it appears to come from the front absorber. Have it check and confirm the front absorber is out. Ask the service to change the absorber and check the rear absorber and mounting. One of the rear absorber has a slight leakage but the mounting is ok. Change the front absorber with mounting and rear absorber only. Total cost is RM 1700. Mileage now is 65000.
All the Tok Tok sound gone. So I do not know whether the tok tok sound is from the rear absorber mounting or front absorber failure.

Anyway, the most important fact is, all sounds gone, and this is good way to move forward. Just imagine if this never properly solved at one time, and the situation worsens, you may probably need to change even more things and more costly. So, it is great enough to get problems solved, and move forward.
