Just a suggestion, why don't you look for a 325? Personally i feel the 320 will leave u wanting more after getting use to the car. SInce the prices of 325 have dropped significantly, don't leave this beautiful car out.
Common issues from both cars (320 and 325), there will always be cos its a BMW (some problems are specific to certain batches and differs from CBU and CKD and also if its grey import from UK and Japan). Maintenance will always be higher if not similar for certain svs as compared to a japanese car. However, certain parts do last longer but overall, maintenance requirement is above average depending on condition of the car. DO read more from this forum or BMW CLub Malaysia to understand the maintenance need to maintain a BMW.
And a final word of advice (if you may), common mistake a lot of owners make is to buy a BMW for their badge. Buy one because you love and enjoy getting from point A to point B. Then you will understand why you need to splurge and spend on maintenance.

Very tempting price, but you can get the 325 for a little extra. You will enjoy this car a lot more! As bro e90 said, you must buy this car only after you understand the maintenance issues.
As a former Bimer owner I can say one more advise. Parts on these cars are lifed. By this I mean, no matter how carefully you drive your Bimer, certain parts will have to be changed within a specified period of time.
