Has anyone figured out how to remove the battery from the engine bay? It looks very tricky to me smile_angry.gif

The battery is under the warranty list, but how does one claim the battery if your car just cannot be started and you need to call the nearest non-Ford workshop to change the battery?

Exactly. I would very much prefer if I could remove the battery myself and send it to Ford for claims.

My battery died yesterday morning. Call Ford and they said I could either jump start the car and bring it to Ford service or call a certain no. to tow the car in. Since jump start is easier, I jump started the car and drove to PJ HQ for battery warranty claim. It was done under an hour. Got them to check the alternator, they said no problem.

May be it is just a case of lousy battery. Otherwise how could it die just slightly over one year.....

1 year + is reasonable IMHO as Smax runs a lot of electronics not to mention turbo engines are hot hence shorter lifespan of batteries unless u can relocated to the rear.
Don't wait for chances, create them!

I expect any car battery to last 2 years minimum, turbo or otherwise. Anything less is not acceptable.

I've even had a battery last me more than 5 years in a turbo car!
