Dear forumer, i am driving a suzuki vitara 2007 and currently reach time to replace the wear and tear. i find is difficult to get after market parts in the market. i am currently looking for a mechanic to fix my prop shaft. where suzuki mechanic told me the car vibrate and i need to replace the whole propshaft. that will cost me RM1800. sound like a bomb to me.
anyhow, i understand that the shaft itself seldom damage unless use it in a rough way. but the prop shaft spider may be a wear and tear part which need replace.
i been to two part supplies shop in kajang, but both telling me that they are not carrying any suzuki parts.
anyone can give me any hint or direction to get this thing fixed without cost me a bomb?

Isolate the problem of the vibration. Prop shaft vibration will only comes in at a certain rpm and either grows more violently or diminishes as you increase the speed. The vibration can be felt as if coming from rear. If it's the tyre out of balance vibration, it normally comes from the front, if it's front tyres.
Prop shaft, as you said, is robust. The thing that normally subjected to wear and tear is the rubber coupling. I have a spare part dealer number.. but I don't have it with me now. It's located somewhere at Jalan Kuching. Also, do counter check with spare part dealer in Singapore as well. At times, it could be cheaper even though after conversion.
