Hi Desmond,

There is only 2 suggestions put forward :-

1) By siv75: remove the SP by myself and get a refund. Until today, siv75 and you (the SP expert and installer) have yet to answer the golden question which I keep posting? How do I remove the painted QueitDrive on all 4 wheel arches to be eligible for a refund?

2) Same question for the autofoam.... how do I remove the autofoam for a refund? Heck, just because I helped you "advertise" your product saying that the autofoam did improve handling and ride comfort, I wasn't looking for "better handling and ride comfort" in the first place. I bought the Mazda satisfied with its original ride comfort and handling as it is. Yup (advertising again), your AUTOFOAM does improve the handling/ going over bumps part ..but HEY.... I wanted a silicone boob job/ soundproofing )... not wake up to find saggy boobs from the surgery but the good news that you corrected and improved my nose which is fine in the 1st place (even though I agree my nose looks better now).

3) The friend suggestion can work, just that it is complicated. No "friends" of my would want KL Auto's products since it did not work for me. And I wouldn't be a real "friend" if I am passing him a product that doesnt work for me at the mercy/ risk of a most likely "disgruntled" installer. In fact, most of my friends and family already laughed at me after being in my ride... calling me too guillible spending RM3.2K in soundproofing without much difference after.

A solution you ask.... why don't you answer the 2 most simple questions I have been repeating... how do I remove the autofoam and painted QueitDrive from my car? Maybe something can be "worked out" once we know how to resolve this first?

thanks bmkia posting.... not many persons like u willingness to spend so much time to share the experienced; at least someone beware before spending un-neccesory money to un-professional advise!

Obviously, when the offer was made, removing Quietdrive would also be done lah. You think the supplier didn't give "solution" to wash away Quietdrive? Where got supplier of such products be so damn stupid wan? smile_blush.gif

I think soundproofing cannot work equally well on all cars. A lot of other factors like metal quality and resonance points of various materials inside can make things unpredictable.

Next time listen for noises carefully before purchasing.

So now I truly agree that guys too, could be such a bitch smile_big.gif

bmkia,
Given the many pages and much 'bullets' here and there, WHAT is the resolution & closure to 'rectify' and to satisfy u?

Yes, you've said it many times that this is a forum and everyone should be aware or at least IMHO needs to be 'qualified' first before going for Autofoam..so what's the next thing now?

Interesting that you are asking me what is next instead of waiting for Desmond to reply? For me its easy.....write me a cheque/ or bank in my account a full refund. I don't mind getting another installer to remove the autofoam, painting and soundproofing mats in my boot (and courier this remains back to KL Auto). Like CFA pointed out....the unanswered question here is still how am I going to remove the painting and autofoam without any adverse effects to my car to "qualify" for this refund? I believe readers here would also like to know this and what are their options in the scenario when you are not happy/ satisfied with KL Auto's work and recommendation.

And spot on the "psyche" assessment by trollb14t. Being ridiculed and laughed at as not "pleasant" but hey, any friends, colleagues and family in my car that "laughed" at me in a way is also confirming that whatever soundproofing was recommended and installed by KL Auto in my ride, doesn't work with minimal improvements. Thanks to "laughs" and "ridicule i.e feeback/support in a cruel way"... I am really confident that its not just my ears..... everyone who laughs agrees that the "soundproofing" failed.

I am not sure what you are trying to point out here, but why don't we let the official "supplier" reply?

Yup. Desmond, please confirm when the cheque can be handed in person (just in case your wire transfer goes missing).

We should all drop by and witness the cheque handling over ceremony and also witness how quietdrive is washed off like a "crap flushed down the toilet" aka easily.

Calling mazdaclub and mazda3 club to be witness to.

Below are dB readings taken by Yeo on his Civic FD1 before and after,
1) QuietDrive whhel arch Coating
2) 3M door seals.

note:
1) Yeo's Civic was treated 1 year ago with 1) AutoFOAM Comfort package 2) Door SP 3) Boot lid solution
2) Readings were taken with I-phone dB meter app.
3) Readings wre done at 80km/h on the same stretch of road @ Mont Kiara.

Before 1) QuietDrive wheel arch treatment 2) 3M door seals.

3 hrs later AFTER treatment .

dont stray from BMKIA point!

He recorded a 9 dB Noise reduction.
To be fair, dB readings from these tools are Not entirely accurate.
I would take HALF of the number to be the REAL world noise reduction.

Ultimately, it is YOU whom matters. Not just numerical readings from tools as the human hearing is so complex and clever that NO measuring tool can emulate...as least not for now. Numbers only tell a fraction of the story.

Aiciban,

Correct, this is Autoworld forum where there are more matured and educated discussions. ( and leave clowns for circuses)
Lets summarise what happened and hopefully find a solution.

We have a customer here who is not fully satisfied with the results of our Un-Finished soundproofing treatment.

Why unfinished?
2 critical areas were left out,

1) Door Treatment.
Despite my repeated attempts to get him to treat the doors then, bmkia decided to skip it at that time.

To those familiar with car soundproofing, the thin door panels is one of the most, if not the most, effective and satisfying steps in soundproofing.

2) 3M Roar Buster for front wheel arches.
The Correct water-proofed product was not available at that time so we requested he come back when it arrived, which was a month later. Using the right material here is crucial as this area can get wet and affect the performance significantly.
My fault here for not calling bmkia immediately when the stocks arrived.

We were Not given a chance to Finish our Job!

Cheers,

Desmond
