loved our kembara very much despite its shortcomings
had to let it go as we became financially strapped

might get another just for short fishing jaunts BUT must be manual tranny after the oil seal problem we had
this baby drinks more given the poorer power-to-weight ratio as well as the full time 4/AWD set up
the Rush be good, too

Please do check ecu connector...

I got that experience before. OD light cannot turn off and cannot shift to upper gear...

My first model manual Kembara has a gearbox problem with the gearbox shaft worn out due to broken bearing. I'm looking for second gb. The engine also consumes a lot of minyak hitam and i'm thinking of doin major overhaul but my mechanic suggest for totally 'new engine' from kedai potong..any ideas guys?

I bought a Perodua Alza and i really satisfied with it.. Just thinking to get a 2nd car, maybe Kembara DVVT.. any guys out there have any good or bad experience with it?.. thanks for sharing.. smile_thumbup.gif

ive been driving kembara DVVT since 2003 and clock 300,000km on mileage.. FC is acceptable compared to non-DVVT engine. RM50 of ron95 can get 300KM.. maintenance cost very acceptable due to robust engine. no major problem for now,ive just change new drive shaft on both frnt wheels and fan motor, doesnt cost much... currently gearbox make a knocking sound when changing gear..hehe..

im very satisfied with mykembara, just take a good care of your car and it will long last.. i would recommend you to buy kembara as a second car, pretty fun to drive it though..

I am searching for a Kembara, hopefully I will not end up buying a "lemon" unit. smile_blush.gif
I will be seeing one tomorrow, a 2005 unit with a mileage of about 120,000 km and asking for a mere RM14,900/-.
The car looks new on the photo, hopefully will not disappoint.
Any area(s) that I should be careful or pay attention when viewing the car?
Your view is very much appreciated. smile_approve.gif
