Bro redwin,

So sorry to hear about your problem bro.

Actually if you go to any reliable car a/c repair shop, they should be able to find/customize a brand new compressor which maybe 90% can suit our Rondo.

How about asking your nearest SC for brand new Rondo a/c compressor quotation first. Every SC have their own style. Sometimes they know people cannot afford OEM so they recommand non-OEM parts (normally is 50% cheaper).

My experience with recond a/c compressor with my previous honda ride was giving me alot of problems and also very limited waranty period (1 month only) so you have to be extra careful if you want to try recond a/c compressor.

Please update if you manage to solve your problem bro.

Bro redwin, you from Shah Alam?

I call Glenmarie SC they quote me 2.3K overall for EOM a/c compressor + labour + misc so is 200 cheaper then ur SC. Unfortunately there is no non-OEM a/c compressor available and I forgot to ask part number.

I never experience dealing directly with Denso Shah Alam maybe someone who has has can share but what I meant was any reliable a/c workshop bawah pokok or shoplot if you go they can help you to source if not original part number maybe similar model with our Rondo a/c compressor, definately cheaper than SC.

I see alot of them in I-City area maybe you can give a try.

Btw, how you confirm the a/c compressor is the culprit? Fuel filter maybe.

Good luck and please share with us bro.

Dear all,

Try getting a used one(not recond) from the half cut shop. I heard there is one in Puchong that specializes in Korean makes. Make sure it is for the G4 engine and the bolts will match BUT the pipes won't. Cause our Rondo is modified for Malaysia. The pipes can be custom made by your local trusted air cond shop. The compressor should cost around RM400 used... custom pipes I don't know... should be RM100 i think...

If some of you are having problems with your air cond please make sure you bring it to an outside air cond specialist. SCs do not have enough experience with air cond. Also I had a problem when my car hit 25k, no cold air. Took it to SC in Old Town PJ left the car there for 1 week... still same problem... say pipe leaking no replacement have to wait 3 months. Called them to eat shit.. took it out to my regular air cond kaki. Checked for 1 hour... no leak anywhere. So he told me put 1 bottle of air cond compressor oil to trace the leak. After 1 year + air cond still running find, it seems the car didn't have enough air cond oil and the compressor cut off by itself.

Really sub-standard SC and manufacturing.

Naza how to sell more if they keep producing shitty quality cars and dumb ass SC personnel?

Lucky me
Send my car to service before CNY. Also, it's 3 days before 2 years of car.....
SA notice compressor a bit noisy and submitted warranty claim.....
Guess what, the claim was approved and I got replacement of compressor....

Thanks to SA...

So good.. i need to fork out $ to do my own repair.. The SC repaired my compressor bearing for me.. This is a known issue for Rondo.. many..really many Rondo faces this problem. If under warranty, SC will claim a brand new unit for you.. Else, have to open out the compressor to change the bearing.

Wow! So damn lucky! Mine just manage to tukar radio before warranty xpired.

And just manage to change my Rondo compressor at PJ aircond workshop. Our compressor using piston and that damn piston patah, so the parts flyin inside the compressor and kasi pecah the body. The AC sifu said, our piston size and parts are abnormal...kenot cari spare parts. Kena replace new unit lor!

Not like one SA wann conned me to change byk parts for a piece of compressor. All KIA SA quote 2.5k above, but with this AC shop just 70 below 2k. Oh! What the heck! If this still continue, we need to alert ALL rondo users to check their compressor! And again, without any reason, the piston can PATAH! Can u imagine?
