Don't twist facts ok? You kept changing figure and story. Whatever you can google, others can easily do that too especially they have their websites available with pricing.

i45 aka Sonata is sold close to Camry, get your facts right. It is your Teana that is selling dirt cheap with additional discount some more.

However, things that I could get, you can't.

I must say that Sonata NF is a very worthwhile vehicle to buy 2nd hand.
The used car dealer told me so... esp the 2.4L model
less than 3 years old, the car market value is half of the original price.
Really value for money car to buy 2nd hand but those who bought it new really rugi besar.
For about RM60k you can buy a large 2.4L car which is less than 3 years old.
With RM60k you can only buy a 7 year-old Civic

anyway the new Sylphy (already available in Singapore) is pretty decent looking compared to the current model
I think it will sell well here.

Most people are put off by the Sylphy current model design. The rear is OK but the front has horns! Front and back do not match. The people I know who own this car says apart from the weird front, it is actually a very comfortable car.

ranii,

Sonata NF is sacrificed to get itself technically proven reliable & durable serving as taxis. It belongs to older batch Korean made and before reaching turning point, RV won't be good.

The Forte already proven having better resale value than Latio and Sylphy while the newer Hyundai-Kia models have much improved resale value. Elantra resale value is even closer to Toyota and Honda. Sylphy first year dropped more than 28%, that can't even buy Elantra 1.6. Maybe that is very good to you.

Fact is, newer proper Hyundai-Kia models resalve value today is just slightly behind T&H but ahead of N-brand.

Fyi, Singapore has Dualis/Qashqai too. Even Skyline G25. Our N-brand here only have substandard alternatives models. Yes, they are getting the new Sentra 2013 and Altima 2013. Our N-brand here will only give you new Sentra 2013 and not the narrow Sylphy FL when the bunch get replaced or after 2-3 years later.

Hahaha smile_big.gif Sonata NF "Sacrificed" to become Taxi 059.gif

Ur laoya Hwontai try to dispose their old obselete model & sell it at scrap value to Taxi fleet company, cosumer had to end up sitting in "Old" Taxi, that u called "sacrifice" more like U sacrifice consumer from getting a prople Taxi like Toyota Crown, Since u claim u laoya Sonata NF so great, how come the American & British choose Nissan NV200 to become their famous New York Cab & London Black Taxi ? this can only proved that Nissan is indeed the best smile_thumbup.gif smile_approve.gif smile_thumbup.gif

Yes, Sonata NF sacrificed as taxi to get its reliability and durability proven. Yet it did it with flying colours. Taxi fleet even proven the Sonata NF better than Cefiro and Sylphy in maintenance score.

Don't take US for example, over there, whatever cars also have parts. Our weather here would cause wear and tear faster than in US New York especially. New York roads is almost the best compared to other US states. Unless you take their desert like Nevada and Arizona to compare.

Haha, still wanna talk about RV, aiya, who is going to buy a used Forte for RM60k, r u going to buy??? I really doubt it. Just visited a used car dealer (anyway it's my friend shop) and he even told me those mudah lar, oto lar sure keep putting the Korean car price higher thinking this way can jack up the RV, this is too childish and stupid, in real world, a KIA Forte 1.6 wanna sell at RM60k is totally impossible, who is going to buy it? Some owner even funny, Forte 2.0 2010 wanna sell at RM75K, my friend ask the owner to drive it back and dream see which one will buy it. Be realistic a bit, Forte 1.6 2010 selling at RM45-48K is more reasonable for him, he last time bought one from customer RM53K 1.6 2010, at the same time he also got a Sylphy 2009, he bought in RM75K, a Honda Civic 1.8 2009 RM72K, and both the Sylphy and Civic found the new owner within 1 month time, but the Forte keep in the garage more than 6 months and only got 2 buyer asked for it, when listened the RM55K selling price, those buyer straight away asked about Japanese car, the head not even turn back to look at the Forte. Now he has disposed the car to his daughter who just got the driving license. He even told me those new Sonata YF also not dare to buy because Korean car really very hard to find owner, unless the price is very low. A few days back got a white colour Hyundai Sonata YF 2.0 year 2010 want to sell to him, heard the owner is upgrading to the Audi A6 Hybrid, his asking price for the Sonata is RM105K, but my friend said the highest he will to buy this Sonata is RM87K, that owner seem like nothing and said let him consider first, so I think that owner already went to a few used car dealer to ask the price, I think the Audi trade in the Sonata is even lower the price until he need to sell it himself. So Jayrape, what say you? Still think your Korean car RV is that great??????? If I got a Latio 2008 or 2009, I can simply easily sell it at RM55K anytime or higher, your Forte, you try to sell lar see how much you can get. Yeah, you just know to surf those Mudah, oto........

Fact is used Forte could sell faster than used Sylphy, used Latio and even used Sentra N16. It is confirmed Forte resale value is ahead of N-brand sedan cars category. My 2 friends who owned Sylphy are best examples.

The used Forte 2.0 only first year bad due to zero effort by Naza and cannibalised by brand new Forte 1.6. Looking at Forte 2.0 depreciation rate, it is as stable as Forte 1.6.

In comparison to Sylphy 2.0, its depreciation drops like flies get smoked by Shieldtox. Despite no Sylphy 1.6 brand new available, its RV is poor due to bad demand. Brand new Sylphy 2.0 at RM120k, but first year dropped to asking price RM80k still can't sell then drop further to RM75k, then RM70k. It's depreciation rate is not even stable. Lowest price sold to 2nd hand owner recorded RM60k.

Latio RV slightly better than Sylphy but still not good due to less demand for used unit. Fact is, the car design is 1 of the factor that determines RV. If design too weird and not so car like, it will not fetch good value.

Mind you Civic '06-12 RV is best in C-segment at the moment followed by Altis then Forte. Elantra RV is above Forte and closer to Altis. Also, since big event is just around the corner, expect less demand for cars be it new or used. So don't try to take any of the current scenario as example for used Korean cars. People are waiting for the new policy at the moment.
