I googled this and find that it is pretty much across the range. 207, 307, 308 and 407. Hmm..........

Cheers smile.gif

So as not to scare some owners, the 207 refered here is the GTi version with the turbo Prince engine and the 307 and 407 are HDi (turbo diesel). All these models are not sold here.

The problem came back this morning. smile_sad.gif

I was driving on the Federal Highway and on hard acceleration the car jerks and the 'Depollution System Faulty' warning came on together with the engine icon and triangle warning light. I continued driving and the car can drive fast but the engine icon stays lit.

I drove straight into Nasim Glenmarie. They plug the car in and find the error codes to be intermittent. They erased it. All these took about 1-1/2 hours including the wait. The car drives normal now.

If the error codes are permanent it can't be erased and the car will have to be left at the SC for trouble-shooting and rectification.

The problem just came back.

It seems there is a 'hump' the engine just can't get over. Once I try to go above a certain speed it will trigger the depollution system faulty message, lighted engine icon and the triangle warning light.

Man, this is sick and a waste of f....g time. smile_angry.gif

Interesting?! At least you can repeat the symptom of the problem.

Life is short. Seize the day!

Hmm, throttle body huh? Lemme tell KS. I've been driving with the DPS prob for quite a while now and without turbo. Initially, the turbo was still there when the DPS came on but now its totally gone. KS tried changed a cracked valve but still couldnt fix it. They wanna keep my car for a few days to chk but i've haven't got the time to send it in yet.

I've made an appointment to send in the car next month. I resisted banging tables, so far.

Meanwhile I have to be conscious not to drive fast and trigger the error message and for the engine to go into limp- mode. Up to 120 kmh still OK.

You buy a turbo car but have to dive it like a Kancil. How nice. smile_tongue.gif

Hi guys,

My 6 years old 407 had the "Depollution System Faulty" signal appear last week. Took the car to a Peugeot specialist to check it out yesterday. Hooked on to the laptop to do diagnosis. The fault error showed "Air in the exhaust". I was told that the engine is clogged and has to replace 3 parts which will cost me RM2800!!! However, he erased the error message and the signal doesn't appear anymore. I'll just drive for another few days and see what happens. Anyone of you had "air in the exhaust" before??

Cheers
