guys, is this sumo oil from japan?
http://www.sumo-lubricants.com/

Im very highly doubt it is blended in japan or the brand itself from japan.
Because i can only find info on this oil from Malaysia website.
I even google, yahoo japan, kakaku and specific search to come out with japanese language also dont come out any link.

But all the sellers claim this oil come from japan.
can anyone shed some light into this.

bro vr2turbo, neo79, tourist.. what say you?

The engine oil industry is full of bullshit.
Most of the "funny name" oils advertised in local mags are usually packaged locally, and you'll never know where it actually comes from. Many local companies are jumping into this, and supplying to mainly lower-end workshops. Look at Voltronic...its a German product, but packaged in Singapore. When you look at the metal container, you KNOW it couldnt hv been made by the Germans!

jklow, Voltronic and OWS (Oder Was Sonst, owned by Open Workshop System) are not owned by German, made by German and marketed by German. Both of these brands are owned by Singaporeans, probably blended in Singapore or Johor.

On the packaging of Voltronic engine oil, theres a suspiciously huge MADE IN GERMANY together with a few German words.
So i expected it to be "probably" a German oil but the container reminded me of local cooking oil.

Locally blended and bottled engine oil, which manufactured under license of a well known brand, or foreign principle brand which have local blending/manufacturing facilities in Malaysia / Singapore / Thailand / Indonesia / Vietnam would have no obligation to follow the similar specification / standard of the similar model of product manufactured in the principle brand home countries.
