Service Problem

Hi all,

FYI owner and the one who consider of this car...

I got my brand new Chery eastar on 30/7/2011, after i drove from KL to Penang car got problem (can't start the engine) at Taiping.
1st.....Tool car back to Penang you need to pay RM400. Chery claimed they bare RM200 only.
2nd....They found is a Imobiliser board issue and takes 14 days yet till today my car still at their so called S3 workshop.
3rd.... No reply at all from either call center or workshop to update me.

BTW, millage is 380KM.

Car is damm comfortable. I admit it is a good car. But, services ? Worse than Proton or even Jinbei. New car drive for less than 4 hours then toll back cost you RM400 plus wait for 2 weeks (dunno, maybe a month). Loan will start soon.

This is just for you guys who consider for this car. Please prepare your 2nd car before buy it. Coz if you in problem you will have an unknown lead time and lot of so called excuses. Now I am driving my 8th years kembara. I have no choice to tell my friend that I am prefer to paid all the loan 1st before i drive the new car....hehe.

I am really piss off the services. But still confident with the engine.

Now i know why so little chery on the road in Penang. Coz the services is really shT.

Sorry to hear that brother. My wife drives the SUV (Tiggo) and so far quite happy with it.
Only problem was the driver's side wing mirror was not working and a broken plastic clip. It took a while for the replacement to come but partly the dealers fault, we channel the claim through the dealer's 3S.
When we got fed up, we change the servicing to Chery HQ and re channel the claim through them and we got it faster. Slight delay due to color coding to the car.
Touch wood so far so good until now.....slightly over a year already..... smile_tongue.gif

You are lucky. Penang seems only got 3s.
I will be more patient....haha.....Really fedup....

Dear Guys,

Can you help me for how to sue the Chery ?
As describe, my car was in the 3S workshop for 2 weeks, now they called me to toll to others 3S and asked me to pay for toll.
I did paid the fee from the place breakdown, but 3S workshop is instructed by them. Now they claim there have no stock and ask me to pay again.

They only formally inform me today. Why they don't inform me earlier ? And the so call claim center told this is not their job to receive claim.

I am fedup because of the toll fees, but the respond and they don't think they are wrong at all both so call 3S workshop and claim center.

Please help if any body can advise me even taking legal action.

As you can see from my post, I had problems with the dealer service also on the parts claim, that is why I went to the HQ.
Contact the HQ and see what they say. If you don't get good reply, you can try claims tribunal..... smile_tongue.gif

Updated. At last board problem from the 1st day and now only can claim. But waited for 3 weeks so far no reply from SC at all.
They claimed HQ is reject the claim.

Anyway, this is my 1st Chery and last chery. Mine was bought july 2011 and till now more than 6 weeks the car was in SC.

Worst than proton at least you can buy the parts/board anyway if urgent. But this Chery...they always keep you waiting and delay.

Please do really re consideration to take this car. Unless they give you. Totally not worth to get it.

Very regret and will sell it out ASAP. No more China car at least 10 years future.

At last got my car back after 7 weeks. FC back to normal. Gearbox so far so good. One of my friend using the 2.4 version 3 yrs also no issue at all....so I am really bad luck.
Will keep this car coz resale only worth 30K for 2011. Comfort car anyway....
