Same here, I too look at his id probably from UK or Aus. Perhaps coming here under Malaysia My 2nd Home visa. They can bring in a car duty free. He probably did not expect us so friendly and helpful.
An after thought, if he wants to ship his car here he should be contacting the shipping agent from his country of domicile and the agent there will have a contact here to handle the paper works.
