i asked the penang branch and they said no more import of focus coz sales are pretty bad.
i think they just did a lousy job on promoting focus.

2 weeks in the showroom. Well... most of them, including Lynx &
Escape were also stayed for few days only in showroom, some
even went straight to JPJ for registration (booked).
Really bad news for focus fans. I agree with you, they have never
promoting focus on local media!
Some says new Lynx will be using focus chassis? pretty cool ah..

U're in Labuan?? Do u know how much I envy u!! Focus is non-taxable there and hence the price should be around RM50k? How I wished I could live in Labuan!
Can we bring the car out of Labuan?

The price was RM64K.
I've driven my Focus twice thru' Borneo highway (KK to Tawau),
very rigid... the alignment didn't affected. For those who have
driven on this "highway" knows the condition, plenty of pit holes ...
little bit like WRC tarmac rally! And I'm a person who really like
to "feel" the WRC experience...
I can take my car to the mainland maximum 30 days/year,
regardless how many times you take it out. So, I normally fully
utilize the 30 days every year...balik kampung.
Not enough 30 days with my focus..... I'll take my wife's Escape,
escape to Borneo....

I believe promotion job cannot do much, the body type (hatchback) and only one engine size (1.8) does not cater to Malaysian market. If Ford could introduce also the sedan body and an option for 1.6 engine (it's weak on paper, but picks up better than Waja), prices might have been reduced up to RM 20000+ less. That would put the car right smack at Japanese car levels Sentra/Corolla/Lynx/Civic, with CBU build quality.
People will bite only if the product type and pricing is competitive.

but i personally prefer the 1.8 hashback rather than the sedan.. it looks so seductive!
Too bad i can't afford comfortably a focus at 127k. End up settle with a Waja 1.8x.
