Most Volvos are driven by professionals now anyway and with the cost lowered, especially for the T4 and T5 S60, S80, many middle income earners can look forward to it as fuel consumption is lowered too. Towkays nowadays are looking at the E and S classes hence the price will not drop even if local assembled hence many grey importers are making good money selling to many up and coming towkays too
5 & 7 series mostly towkays who are in their 30s to 40s who do not want to look like unkers, maybe in their 50s too who do not mind a bone shaker..
The concept of who has more expensive nowadays are more for govt profiteers and small time contractors who get govt contracts, hence short term..big time cronies go for Bentleys and Jaguars

the problem here is will middle income buyers buy these T4 or T5 with price tags of rm220K to 255K (CKD unit) and after 3 years(after warranty over) down the road the value of both will depreciated to only rm125K to 145K and by another 2 years time (time for major service/parts replace) both will only value at rm100K to 115K.....

Exactly, price too high, that's why resale value drop so fast. not to say car is no good, too pricey
