2008 Swift Facelift

Hi,
My wife booked her Swift 3 weeks ago and was promised to deliver before
CNY, however the SA just called telling us the car will not arrive before
CNY, citing current Swift prod has been halted to make way for face lift
version. Was told there will be some price increase but old price for those
who has booked. The SA stated some changes on the front grill, tail light
and add side mirror signal light indicator, but unconfirmed yet. Anybody
heard if this is true?

Yes, facelifted Swift oredi in showroom, i've seen in another forum. Some
minor changes to the front n rear bumpers, taillights and etc.

some said that "among the new features we can see s new 1.2L engine, a CVT gearbox and other
small upgrades" which means swift is much more affordable (+very) for malaysian. well, swift will be
more seen on da road these year forward.,@ d n of the d, swift is not pre-luxury car anymore, but
then, it will b, maybe like kancil or myv..evrywher.!

don think 1.2 SS will make it way to Malaysia otherwise it will eat up
sales of Myvi or even Viva haha

whatever gave you the impression it was a luxury car to begin with? it's
just a decent runabout.. at reasonable price, it's definitely no Merc A
class or BMW 1 series..

i dint mean it luxur as merc or bm.pre-luxury what i said is just the price at the range where
everybody cant affords to buy (before on these year) or wat i classify as cars 70k-150k (on my own
basis)..on lately, malaysian r growing up their prosperities, 100k' cars s small matter, even cikgu
can buy vios, 4wd cars, city, sentra & so on..f this scenario happening to us as far as we concerned,
buying swift also is like petik jari, with new more affordable price and wat we call complete
knockdown model..this is wat i say swift will be wat myv does in malaysia.everywhere..it just about
perception which s swift s suite for younger people..or others said for 'anak dara'..that s y swift s
rarely appears on our road..f we think again on future, younger does have better job and
purchasing power also s high..no wonder more of them will attracted to swift..i think!!watever it is,
as young people, bachlor,love speed, elegant..i love my swift..

maybe many driving 100k cars due to 9years loan... maybe if they make
20year loan, then many can drive new C class..

no matter how long they make loan, the point is how many cars on the road..and again, our road
remain congested la! thanks god alor star out of list..banks also won't 20year loan given & no one
do it!. reality s realistic, malaysia buleh!buy watever car u want!!9 year just number, d important is
your pockets and where u being in!.
