Its CBU so built better.
Other than that, I have heard few complains.

Hi st1180

I'm also interested in the KIA Sorento. When are you planning to book it?
Have been reading a lot of reviews on the Sorento. So far most of it were
positive. Manage to test drive a week ago. The drive was excellent
especially when going up the hill, the pick up was really good.

Also thinking of the Sorento : only problem being I think the "wooden"
stick-on stuff on the dashboard is really nasty (for some reason, Korean
manufacturers seem to think we all want that). I would much prefer
silver/metallic finish or even just plain black plastic.

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy a Sorento locally with either of
these dashboard finishes (which are both available in US/EU)?

I think the main reason is for the western market. They seems to have a
soft spot for wood.

Wah then you will hate the accord2.4, 3.0 and the Odyssey etc etc.
Yucks to the maximum those plastic wood trimmings!

st1180 - well I'm Western and I hate the stuff!

(I think you're referring to Europeans' like of *real* wood on dashboard
trimmings - not this nasty faux plastic wood veneer crap. A pathetic
attempt at emulating the likes of Jaguar, Rover etc.)
