one problem about this GTO (although i love this car
in all Gran Turismo versions) is the weight.... 2.5
tonnes if not mistaken ??? FREAKING HEAVY.... having
a 3 litre engine is good but due to the weight,
causing power to weight ratio a bit out.... nice but
heavy chick...

I drove this car nearly for two years and without it
life isn`t the same again. It`s the one of the best
cars around, if not the best. You`ll know what I mean
only if you drive one.

You won`t hear or read so much about it and that is
mainly due to owners of these cars spend their time
riding this beast/beauty instead of talking about
them. Unfortunately, I no longer own one...I think
that`s why I am talking about it. ;-)

The only thing everyone is worried about this car is
its weight. But if a 2050KG stock car - crammed with
the every gadget that any petrol head would ever dream
of - accelerates from 0 to 100Kph in 5.3 sec then I
don`t see why it should be an issue.

If you are interested in pouring your money into
modifications to spend your days on a race track then
this car may not be suitable for you...Instead you
should go and buy a Nissan with a saloon car look or a
flashy Supra. But if you want ultimate safety combined
with power/speed/comfort and the look that seperates
men from boys, then the choice is Mitsubishi GTO VR4.

Oh!..BTW, did I mention that it is a chick magnet ;-)

It is a great injustice to describe this car with
words. GTO VR4 must be experienced...Don`t take my
word for it...Test drive one....

cheers!

Cruiser is right about the GTO .... U are lucky to own
4 2 years. I only have it 4 a year only. Although the
car is bit old, mine 1991 GTO (Red), but everytime I
drive out, it will definitely head-turn the
audiences... I miss the feeling & the look of the
people after I leave go my GTO at the beginning of the
years .... Life never be the same again ... FrownCool

Hi

I am a GTO fan too but due to my budget I can only
browse the magazine and do some research on it. Some
question for all the sifu out there.

1) How much is the current 2nd hand GTO VR4 price
(Those with "shogun eye" head lamp)?
2) I heard from my fren said a guy tried to install
HKS F-con in this car but evrything goes crazy. Even
the aerotech ppl dunno wat happen?
3) Is the maintainace cost is very high for this
kind of car? How much u all set aside each month for
this "sexy lady"?

thanks in advance.

Does it look like a regular GTO? Whats it like
compared to a Fairlady. 5.3s for a 2 tonne car is
quite impressive. Any pics??

Hi limks,
If I not mistake,
90-92 - GTO got the pop-up light,
93 or 94 onward, then GTO got the "Shogun Eye"
headlamp.
1.) If U talking about the "Shogun Eye", the early
version is 93, go for around RM130++
Know that on Federal Highway, beside Motorola, there
is a Import Car Showroom, have one 95 or 97 "Shogun
Eye" Red GTO, Twin Turbo, 6-speed manual ... don't
know how long the car have be there. Unreg, going for
RM170++
2.) GTO got the potential to modify, "Mushroom" Filer,
etc ....
3.) Ou ... extra set aside ... U better have RM 5-7K a
year to spare for the Insu & Road Tax Big Smile

Eyes" year make 93 and 96. I heard Mitsubishi added a
lot of feature. Do you know any of that ?

Thanks in advance
Btw I ask the "Potong Kereta" ppl around the say GTO
spare part is very rare. Issit true?

Hi, As the yrs went by ... I think more features add-on to the latest ... The differences between the 93 & 96, not sure also ??? Off-course, one thing for sure, if got tonne $$$, get the latest lah Big Smile

While during the time I own the GTO, a potong kedai hv actually offer me to spare a front half-cut w/engine & transmission & the front part components just in case ... Wow that ridiculous, like buying a 1 & 1/2 car Big Smile ... But not going for it ... bcos planning to sell it at the end of Road Tax Disapprove Frown

Good Luck on yr hunt for the Red Devil ... keep us update ....
